Must try foods in Milan

On our way to Milan, Italy with an Airbnb in a tiny nook looking out to the beautiful water canals. At 10 a.m., we scheduled an outing where we get a tour of the Milan Duomo and an overall cultural tour. We visited a famous mall with a bull’s penis, and yes, I said bull’s penis.

For break time, we tried Milanese pizza. Pizzeria Spontini sells more than just pizza but we ordered a large classic Spontini pizza, filled with cheese and with thick crust.

Afterwards, we walked into the Milan Starbucks Reserve, the only one in Europe. It was beautiful and cozy, just like a café should be. I took some photos and videos of the experience.

Then we grabbed a grapefruit flavoured Fanta and went home to rest. When dinner time came around, Akeel and I were having a craving for some more charcuterie boards. We walked to La Prosciutteria Milano Navigli. The restaurant was placed where you can look out on the canals and every board comes with a wine and Akeel and I chose Moscato. I love when fig and arugula is incorporated into charcuterie boards. The board filled us up and we were ready for bed.

DAY 2

This was our last full day in Milan. We went on a mission to find postcards from Milan for my travel postcard collection. We stopped by Trattoria Ponte Rosso for lunch. We tried two dished native to Milan and that is Osso Bucco with Risotto and Veal Milanese cutlet. The dishes did not disappoint and they were so tasty, filled with flavours.

Milan is an adorable city but I’m definitely glad we only planned two days in Milan since there wasn’t much else, I wanted to do there.
